The prices are high for what you get anymore. A lot of the exhibits are consistently empty or dirty, not including the bear area which has been vacant for years now. Cramped spaces for most of the animals compared to other zoos I've visited, and a lot of them seem to be unhappy or nervous. In dire need of an update overall, but is located in such an area that it may be impossible. The overall experience is way worse than it was 10 years ago. At the current rate the zoo is being managed (add new half hearted exhibits, ignore renovating old ones), it will just get worse. It may just be time to transfer ownership or just sadly shut it down.
