I recently was discharged From JW and had an incredibly awesome experience! I went in for surgery was discharged the next day and became very sick. I went back to the ER where I received excellent care, and had emergency surgery. I was admitted to the Women's Health Unit. This is a very specialized nursing floor with a small bed capacity. I will have to say I think they saved my life. I got top notch nursing care from the start. Samantha , Jenn, Patty , Katylyn, Anne, and Brandy were excellent nurses( forgive me if I left someone off ). Being a retired nurse myself from JW--class of '72, I was so grateful they were well trained and experienced. They covered for each other in their patient care. They were always pleasant to answer when I needed assistance . They came to my aid almost immediately when I called for them. I can't say that I had one favorite nurse because they were all my favorite nurse during my week long stay. The nurse manager , Lee Ann came by each day to inquire about the care I was receiving. She genuinely cared about my opinion.
I have been a patient at JW several times over the years and was grateful I had my family to be my advocate at those times because the care was so poor, but I feel really fortunate to have stayed on this floor. Thank you again to all the staff on the Women's Health Unit.
