Inside is very nice. But parking is atrocious and food expensive. Yet that is also true for most convention centers nowadays. My brother and I spent half an hour trying to find parking because their parking garage was over $30 for a couple of hours. But they limit the spaces available for parking on the street and the time allotted to park in each space, so they can force you to go back to their garage so you don't miss your event (or be late). So be prepared with either plenty of money for both food and parking if you're doing it inside McCormick, or go with ample time before your event so you can look for good on street parking, and eat nearby, saving yourself some money.
