An amazing place to take kids. My 2 and 4 year olds loved it, though it is targeted at kids a bit older, and it was fun for the adults too. There are enough exhibits here to keep kids entertained for several days, and you can choose to explain the science behind it or just let them discover on their own. Admission cost is high ($29 adult $19 child), but not unreasonable for what you get, or For the bay area, and there are discounts for students, teachers, locals, seniors, etc. I plan to come again, and may even get a membership if I can figure out a good transportation/parking solution.
