Buyer beware. My Mom is in her early nineties living in an assisted living. She was referred to this agency for home care. I have been my mom's care giver over the past several years. The nurse case manager assigned to my mom's care refused to let me know when she was coming out to do the initial assessment. After she met with my mom I was told that my mom didn't want her family involved with her care. There were not any witnesses to my mom making that statement. We would have to take the nurse's word for it. Mom vehemently denied making that statement. They would continue to make unannounced visits sometimes asking for her signature when no one was present. Mom is oriented, but has short term memory loss. That requires someone looking after her best interests (other than a home care nurse) to help her make informed decisions. Finally, we got a referral from my mom's insurance company to another agency. Even then, a staff member from Holy Cross Home Care told me that they could not discharge her because it wasn't my mom's decision. Huh? We were lucky to breakaway. Consider.another home care agency if anyone refers you to this one.
