I have to give CHLA a five star rating because they saved me during my first year or so of life. My parents were in their 20s and poor in the 90's, so they couldn't afford the procedure to correct my congenital heart defect. However, there was a foundation which covered the expenses for my surgery and recuperation. According to my mom, the surgeon could "do the operation with his eyes closed", since he has fixed VSD so many times. I donated to the foundation, which is the least I could do. Thank you.
