Ahhh yes. The trendy place that s supposed to be farm to table, and that makes you feel good! Except... apparently they don t farm seasonings, or salt, or anything else with much flavor.
So here s the problem. I ordered a boneless ribeye with green vegetables and mashed potatoes. The ribeye was seasoned. On one end. Like, the last half inch had salt on it. The rest didn t. And if you re going to pride yourself on farm fresh veggies, why are the green beans limp and listless on the plate? The potatoes were good. So I guess there s that.
My wife s dinner was similarly disappointing - but that s not really the right word. It was okay. Just like mine. But just okay. And for the premium you re paying, okay just doesn t cut it.
Also, our waiter forgot to bring the buttermilk biscuits until we already had the food. These were oddly satisfying. Huge, filling, buttery, and salty.
Would I come back? Perhaps. But I might order something more simple like a burger and some biscuits. Perhaps that s the secret?
