As a professional model with a few dozen high-profile modeling gigs under my belt, I think I am qualified to talk about how modeling agencies work. Wilhelmina Denver is one of the most upscale and talented agencies I have had the pleasure of working with, but here s the thing: every would-be model thinks they should be instantly famous, or at least get a ton of work in the first week. The staff at the agency are pretty clear in telling new talent that it is up to the clients, not the agency, in getting work. In other words, the agency can only do so much. But still I hear people complaining. I guess they just don t understand the business and how tough it can be to work at a modeling agency.
