This year I attended ISTE18 in Chicago, stayed downtown (who wouldn t), but was quite surprised to find that the convention center was not located closer to the elevated rail... there were 24,000 attendees at the conference

Certainly, I don t mind walking 2 blocks, I m just saying that I was surprised that a giant convention center would not have better transportation DIRECTLY to the site Of course you can take a bus or shuttle or Uber up a ride, but that just requires so much additional cost or environmental impact rather than using fantastic public transportation like the L

In addition, the expo hall was choppy , there s a giant elevated section that placed many vendors in odd places. In fact, while chatting with some of the vendors, they were disappointed in the lack of foot traffic because of the layout of the expo hall.
