visit the Vatican Museums (and Sistine Chapel) , it normally costs 17 without pre-booking, or 21 if you pre-book.

On the last Sunday of the month, entry is free (hours are reduced - 9:30 - 14:30, last entry at 12:30.) I usually discourage people from doing this, as the lines are super long, and on this day, you cannot pre-book, and no tours go.

But if you are visiting Rome on a budget, and are here when there is the free Sunday, give it a shot! Just be there by 8am
