06 Lexus GS300 DEALERSHIP MAINTAINED/ SERVICED At this Lexus Dealership from 2005 (Brand New Lexus GS300)-11/4/11 NEVER INFORMED OWNER OF THE CARBON BUILD UP PISTON RING RECALL/DE-CARBONIZATION EXTENDED WARRANTY. FAITHFUL LEXUS OWNER AND OPERATOR ALMOST DIED TWO WEEKS AGO IN VEHICLE DUE TO CARBON BUILD UP AND LEXUS CORPORATE DENIED FIXING ISSUE BECAUSE 10K MILES OVER WARRANTY. SO I HAVE TO NOW WARN OTHER LEXUS OWNERS TO PUSH THESE LAZY DEALERSHIPS TO BE MORE DILIGENT ABOUT THESE RECALLS AND EXTENDED WARRANTIES. LEXUS CORPORATE HAD THE NERVE TO TELL ME THAT IF THE CUSTOMER DOESNT COMPLAIN OF ANY SYMPTOMS LEXUS WILL NOT ACT ON KNOWN RECALLS AND EXTENDED WARRANTIES. THE CUSTOMER MUST COMPLAIN OF AN ISSUE OR CHECK ENGINE LIGHT MUST BE ON FOR DEALERSHIP TO INITIATE PROCESS. IN THIS CASE THIS GS3OO HAS BEEN IN 4 LEXUS DEALERSHIPS OVER 60 TIMES AND NONE OF THESE 4 NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED DEALERSHIPS WERE ABLE TO IDENTIFY THIS CARBON BUILD UP ISSUE, BUT THEY CHARGED THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO FIX PROBLEMS THAT WERE BEING CAUSED BY THE WELL KNOWN CARBON BUILD UP ISSUE IN THIS SPECIFIC ENGINE TYPE. NOW LEXUS CORPORATE IS TELLING ME TO FOOT THE BILL OF NEARLY $4,500 AND THATS AFTER I HAVE SPENT $5K+ REPLACING FOULED COILS PLUGS ETC ALL CAUSED BY CARBON BUILD UP.
I ALMOST LOST MY LIFE BECAUSE OF MY LOYALTY TO LEXUS AND THIS DEALERSHIPS "EXCELLENT LEXUS SERVICE GUARANTEE" FROM 2005-2011.
I HOPE WHOEVER IS READING THIS GETS THIS MESSAGE UP TO YOUR GM BECAUSE I AM NOT TAKING THIS POST DOWN. I WILL POST THIS SAME POST ON THE OTHER LEXUS DEALERSHIPS THAT SAW THIS 2006 GS300 WHILE IT WAS IN THE WARRANTY AND EXTENDED WARRANTY/ RECALL ELIGIBLE PHASE AND FAILED TO PROPERLY DIAGNOSE AND CORRECT THIS PROBLEM.
