Review Updated. My previous car , the last time I went in for an oil change they told me no more than 30 minutes , took 2 hours. And they was not very friendly about it either. But I believe in second chances. So I bought a new used car from a different dealer because Preferred did not have what I was looking for. The car came with two free oil changes at the dealership of my choice. Preferred is very close to my day job so I thought I would see if anything had changed and give them another chance to do right by me. Big Mistake, It was way worse. Dropped my car off in the morning before 8am, my appointment was at 10am. Never got a call from them letting me know the status of my car or that it was ready to pick up. I called at 4pm to check the status and was told a service guy would call me back. An hour later still no call. So I called them again, still no service guy was available then either, and the girl who answered the phone was no help. So I'm stuck at work at the end of a business day and the closest ride I can call is 2 hours away. Finally Pete calls and I was told what was done to my car. When I questioned the service guy Pete about not getting a phone call , he stated that he had called both my office phone and cell phone and he left a voicemail on my cell. Being the IT guy for my company I checked all our incoming call logs and guess what, no call from him on the system. I also checked my cell phone call log...same deal no call on the log and no voicemail. What are the odds that both numbers did not log his call? So not only did he not call me, he lied and said that he did. And Pete was rude on the phone and could care less if I had a ride home or not. Didn't even ask me if he could help. I would not recommend going to this dealership until they get their service department in order because they are by far the worst I have ever dealt with. I see a lot of new people working in this service department as I have been a customer for over 6 years. These new people are clueless about customer service and shouldn't be dealing with the public. I will drive to another city and find a dealership that is willing to help their customers. Preferred Chevy in Grand Haven is a place to stay clear of unless you like rudeness and poor service. I won't even go into what else they was supposed to fixed and help me get me get done.
