The entrance for domestic and the international terminal are the same for the CCU airport as of Feb 2021. The airport, although is recently renovated and probably redesigned as well, you won't find it very clean and modern, as compared to other new airports in India. Inadequate signs after arrival, the restrooms and facilities looks unclean, worn out, smelly and very old, help desks are scarce.
I felt the international arrival look very depressing. When you enter the "city of joy" as a citizen or a tourist through this airport you see the immigration section is so sad and dim lit. It doesn't give me a vibe of a joyous or a happy entry to the city.

Recently i have seen that there are more stores inside the airport too. Of course those are helpful too to buy some souvenir before flying out.
