We stayed at the Grand Wailea before the renovation. I still give it 5 stars. The beauty of the property made me temporarily lose my memory.
My hubby said because we were there with storms all week and no sun lets call Hawaiian air to get a flight on a later date. We were not able to because everyone else had the same idea.
It was supposed to be the worst storm, in 50 years!
So I said what do you mean flight home? He said back home to NYC. I said what do you mean home in NYC? It went on for a while.
I think I was so stunned by the beauty I blocked out cold NY and it was 20 degrees in NY when we went!

I have read complaints that the pool was too crowded. Not when we were there which was late winter.
Amazing place with friendly staff!
