To be fair, I'll start with the good aspects. The place was clean and the decor in-line with what you'd expect from a 3-star hotel.

Now for the unpleasant part:
1. We booked two rooms here because of it's proximity to LGA. I had a meeting two hours after landing and was hoping to check-in and freshen up. When I got there, the street that the hotel was located on was closed for construction. When I called the hotel operator they had no idea and couldn't provide me alternate directions. They tried sending me two blocks over which was completely wrong. This lasted an hour so I decided to go about my day and try again at night.

2. Again, the street was blocked for construction. when I called this time, the night operator was much more helpful and directed us to their parking garage the next block over. He assured me that as a Hyatt guest the parking would be free (they do offer paid parking for outsiders.) You can imagine my surprise when I got $26 parking bill at checkout. When I looked the the standard parking rates in the parking garage I saw that I would have been better off paying directly and not going through the hotel. I'm disappointed that they wouldn't honor the first employees promise. Their excuse was that he must have mistaken me for a higher tier member....

3. This is a much smaller detail, but all hotels I've been to (hundreds) have offered basic amenities (sometimes free and sometimes with a charge), such as drinking water, in the rooms. They didn't even have vending machines to get a bottle of water on each floor. You had to go down 9 floors to grab a glass of water.

4. The elevators are not maintained. After this whole frustrating experience we just wanted to get to our rooms. Turns out the bottom for our floor number want working on the elevator. An employee spent a few minutes trying to get it to work.

5. The only thing I found disappointing in the rooms themselves was the water pressure. It's very weak and not what I'd expect from a reputable hotel.

All in all, I would not use this hotel again and will probably try the Marriott which it's nearby as well.
