First time I was in the ER received good care. I was transported by EMS via SGMC ambulance. Being an EMT for many years, I was upset with the EMT who was treating me in the back. Accusing me of being a pill seeker when I clearly informed him & his partner at my residence I took one of my pain pills prior to calling them. Also the radiologist totally missed my appdex being positioned wrong. That was in July of 2017. I had symptoms of a kidney stone and treated for one. Which serveral were found and one large one. About 3 weeks later same symptoms but little bit different. Again back in er not by choice this time Ride was better and hospital was full no beds EMS forced to leave me in a room with two office chairs till a was transferred to a room with a recliner chair. Physican assistant I had he was awesome he treated me with much respect and had an amazing bedside manner the nurses were also very caring and same for the nurses that cared for me after my so called normal appdex surgery. The surgon was also very cating. Just had a few concerns about some of the CNA on the morning shift one telling me I can't use the ER as my primary care doctor. Right now I currently unemployed and no insurance. Urgolgist on call was horrible money happy and putting me down in medical records which is unethical to be putting your personal feelings about a patient in a legal document. Plus the patient advactotcy department was suppose to follow up after discharge which they didn't. Even the surgon was shocked and shocked that they didn't reach out to me after discharge. He advised me to call them and did with the response we don't know he told you to call us. The only reason why I am giving two stars was cause of the physican assistant that took care of me on my second ER visit and the nurses other wise I would give zeros if I could.
