Rabin Medical Center is a medical center owned by Clalit Health Services, located in Petah Tikva and consists of Beilinson Hospital and Golda Hasharon Hospital. It is the third largest medical center in Israel [1]. It covers two campuses throughout the city - the main one on Ze'ev Jabotinsky St. - "Beilinson Hospital" (next to it is the "Schneider Center for Pediatrics in Israel"), and the smaller campus on Keren Kayemet Israel Street where "Golda Hasharon Hospital" . The two hospitals were merged into one center in 1996, named after Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin.

The hospital treats more than half a million patients a year who come from Israel but also from neighboring countries and the Palestinian Authority. About 9,000 children are born there every year. It has 37 operating rooms and contains a total of 1,300 beds. The Rabin Center is the most important center for cancer transplantation and treatment in Israel. The director of the medical center is Dr. Eitan Wertheim.

Beilinson Hospital is a hospital in northwestern Petah Tikva, which is part of the Rabin Medical Center.

The hospital was established between Petah Tikva and Tel Aviv and was inaugurated on October 27, 1936. [2] Its purpose was to provide medical service to members of the locality living in the colonies of Judea and Sharon. The initial design was for 60 hospital beds [3]. A certain part of the establishment budget was a sum of money collected from a donation from the workers of Eretz Israel who devoted two working days each to this purpose. The hospital was designed by architects Arie Sharon and Benjamin Idelson, and was initially called the "Hospital for the Colonies of Judea and Sharon" and included about 70 beds when it was built. About three weeks after its establishment, Dr. Moshe Beilinson, the initiator of the establishment of the hospital and chairman of the supervisory committee of the HMO, passed away, and the hospital was renamed. The hospital was founded by three doctors who came from Germany after Hitler came to power in 1933 - Prof. Hari Heller who headed the hospital and also headed the Department of Internal Medicine, Prof. Erwin Rabo who headed the gynecology department and Prof. Paul Nathan who headed the surgery department.

In November 1947, the director of Beilinson Hospital, Dr. Harry Heller, and all eight department heads from the hospital, after failing to negotiate working conditions for a year, retired.

In the early fifties of the twentieth century the main building of the hospital was opened.

In 1957, the Department of Dermatology and Venereal Diseases was established by Prof. Yitzhak Katzenelbogen.

In 1964, the Department of Chest and Heart Surgery was established by Prof. Maurice Levy.
