It only costs $19 (total] to take the boat to both the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, so I think it is very worth. While on the boat, you are able to get very nice views of NYC, too.

When you arrive on the island, there is a visitor center and a cafeteria. This surprised me, because the cost of food was actually reasonable for being a tourist attraction.

Would definitely recommend this for anyone hoping around NYC for sightseeing.
