People that are higher up in Joy El seem to think that the best way to solve a problem that they dont agree with their workers is what I would call bible thumping. They made me feel convicted unstead of uplifted. I fuilt bullied and belittled. I had payed money to join a program to beable to learn and grow in ministry but they made me do work, work, and even more work. Keep in mind that I was paying them. The first month I was there I was forced to have no technology which was not mentioned when I had signed up. It was the longest I had been away from home and was not abble to talk to my friends and family. I loved doing the ministry work but was forced to do other such things such as clean and shovel snow. If it was my job I would of not minded do those things but again I was payig them. I then left the program because I became ill and yet they still made me work long hours. The only reason why I stayed as long as I did because I was convicted by the leaders saying I was supposed to honor my commitment and if I left Iwas putting myself before God. The day I told them I actually decided to leave I was yelled at and kicked out that day and was forced to cut ties with the friends I had made there.
