This locally-owned non-profit temple to all things film is an absolute treasure. The staff, the theatres (particularly with the expansion and improvements to the original main auditorium and the more intimate upstairs), and the renovation and creation of the wonderful all-digital third screen in the adjacent building are all portents to a rich and wonderful future.

The crowds are lively, engaged, and a true cross-section of Tucson with programming to match all the ages and interests. I've yet to be in a screening of any film where I found myself irritated by the behavior of anyone attending. Folks come here because they wish to share the communal experience that is the magic of film.
