Wow, some people are simply cry babies. Anbody knows if you want peace and quiet you don't take a room by the pool. Probably 10% of the rooms or less are near the pool. I've been here twice this year and I was allowed to pick my room, if they didn't offer me one I would simply ask to speak to a manager if I requested a room with a view. I always opted for one of the rear buildings with the better views. Sometimes it felt like I was the only person staying in the whole resort. If you want stuff to do, take a short ride downtown or Scottsdale, it's not far at all but I'm from LA so were are used to driving distances to get places. . I enjoy this hotel, the staff is excellent, grounds are beautiful and the rooms are nice, clean and spacious. I prefer the peace and quiet of this resort, much better for me than the large single building hotels like those downtown or elsewhere where you have to park in a stucture or a large lot and walk half a mile to the entrance. I was able to park right in front of my suite most nights, if not, I wasn't far away. I paid 112.00/night, you are not going to beat that anywhere for a comparable property.
