There's one great saying I heard about Columbia College Chicago... "Other art schools will teach you how to be a master of your art... Columbia will teach you how to have a career with your art."

Columbia is my alma mater and I have to say that I had a wonderful time there in the Television department. I made great friends that I still work with after graduating and I learned a great deal about all aspects of television and the business.

My only critique was a lack of real-life production experience. Giving a group of students a camera and equipment and telling them to go out and film does not even come close to the realities of working on a real film set. I had a bit of a rough-and-tumble learning curve when I started freelancing on commercial shoots.
