The main service any hotel is supposed to provide ...

The main service any hotel is supposed to provide is a comfortable room for their guests. If you can't do that then all the amenities and how beautiful the hotel is means nothing.
This is a beautiful hotel and it has great amenities. The one thing it's lacking in is honest customer service.
They granted my request for a room upgrade to a Corner Room. What they didn't tell me is that those Corner rooms tend to get extremely hot because of all the windows. about an hour after I checked in the temperature had already gone up three degrees in my room. I contacted guest services and asked if there was a problem with the air conditioner and she informed me "those Corner rooms tend to be warmer than the other rooms in the hotel". She told me closing on the drapes would help bring the temperature down. Now what is the point of getting a corner room full of windows so you can have great views if you can't open the drapes and enjoy the views? I asked her if it would cool down by the time I go to bed at 10 p. M. She said it should be cooler by then. she did offer to switch rooms for me however she also made me feel like the temperature would be very comfortable by the time I went to bed at night. Since I already unpacked and settled in and had plans with people I was meeting here I chose not to switch rooms. It wasn't cool enough to get a good night sleep. If the front desk clerk had told me that the corner rooms take on so much heat I would not have taken this room. Now it's 5 a. M. and I've been up all night tossing and turning. It's currently 68 degrees outside but 76 degrees in my room.
If you book a room in this hotel during the summer don't book The Corner rooms unless you just like a warmer temperature than most.
For years I've been using another hotel chain. A friend told me about Hilton Honors so I signed up and this is my first experience. I'm trying to figure out the honor part of Hilton Honors. They should call it Hilton Rewards because I see no honor and not being upfront and honest with your guests.

A great customer service experience would have been someone calling me last night and asking if my room was comfortable enough for me. Since that did not happen I will be calling the front desk this morning and requesting another room. I will have to create my own great customer service experience.

Day 2
The drapes have been closed all day the temperature on thermostat is always been at 66 and it's 83 degrees in this room.
Update:. I called Guest Services about 5: 30 yesterday afternoon and they said they were booked but they would see what they could do and call me back. Guess who never got a call back. That's the third time I've spoken with guest services that's the third time that nothing has been done.
