Quynh N Review of Ultralight Optics

I've had Design for Vision loupes & light for the last 7.5 years. These light and loupes combo from Design for Vision give me a headache if i wear them >2-3 hours in a row as they are pretty heavy and i have to tight the loupes tight so they don't drop down during procedures. On top of that, the light wire kept on getting wrapped up at different things in the opt whenever i move around, and the battery kept on falling out of the holder.
I contacted Shane from UltraLight, he let me try the cordless light, which made such a different. I love them so much i ordered myself a set. The light was so light that i can't tell the difference from wearing the loupes by themselves or with the light on, weight-wise. The battery conviently clip directly on my labcoat collar, keeping the cord away from tangling with anything. The awesome feature is that the cord and the battery and "find" each other & attach my magnetism. Just clip the battery on, throw the cord at it, and they attach themselves. Awesome!
I also purchased a pair of 5x loupes from UltraLight. They make a world of difference in RCT canal hunting games.
The designs of the light, the loupes, and even the light-frame connectors are super compact & light. They're even cheaper than the ones i ordered from Designed for Vision.
Shane cannot be any more helpful. He knowledgely answered all of my questions about light, loupes, their lifespan, etc. He also carefully made all the necessary measurements several times to make sure my loupes will be perfectly custom made for my eyes and my working distance.
I love the products and Shane so much i've been recommending them to my friends and colleagues any chance i can.
Two thumbs up!
