I had the displeasure of renting through Enterprise during COVID-19, because of necessary travel. I booked the car successfully through the website, picked up at the airport, and planned to drop off at a different location. When it came time for drop off, it turned out that the planned location (which I could walk back from) had been closed for 3 months! Throughout the whole reservation and rental process, no one bothered to inform me. I called the number for the location, and was forwarded to another location miles away. I was suddenly expected to return the car at a different location, miles away, and figure out how to get back to where I needed to be in an unfamiliar city.

The only silver lining was that the Lyft driver (which Enterprise did not reimburse me for) also had an Enterprise horror story, so we commiserated together on the way back.
