Embassy suites is my choice hotel but this location was a complete let down! Waste of $200!!
We arrived and the pool was closed due to maintenance issue.... I called in to make my reservations but was never told this!!! Only saw the notice once we arrived.
Upon arrival the lobby was airy, smelled nice and looked modern.
Once I stepped into the elevator on the left I noticed that it looked worn and sounded odd when going up to my room. Once I stepped off the elevators the air smelled sort of musky.... made it to my suite and it smelled even more musky!!! Looked around and didnt see any mold or anything of concern so I figured 1 night won't hurt. We dropped our stuff and headed to the beach.
Got back in the night and once off the elevator that musky smell hit us hard!!!
Once in the room, musky smell and all, I started to notice how dusty the room was... the top of the night stand was dusted but the sides were dusty and had sticky marks on them ewwwwww!!
The bed skirt looked as if it was there from 1955 when the hotel was built! It was dusty and had stains on it... At that point I wanted to switch rooms but my laid back husband didn't since we were spending 1 night and the kids were already in bed.
The bathroom was moderately clean... but again dusty and there were hairs on the wall!!!
I was so over being at that hotel. We ate breakfast and high tailed it out of there!!!
This is 1 Embassy suites I will never return to.
Overall, the room was dusty, dingy looking and smelled musky. The room and livingroom were dark, definitely needed to have all the lights on.
Some staff were excellent at being courteous and very friendly.
