I went to Clyde's to apply for a bartending job, which they advertised on line. The manager who I had spoken with blew me off, despite the fact that I've been bartending for 25 years and had a resume for her to examine. I noticed that there was 1 minority, an African American woman, in the whole front of the house. Everyone else was Caucasian. The manager and her staff stared at me with disgruntled looks. It really made me feel uncomfortable and reminded me that we,minorities are still living in oppression! Prejudicenous and Biggetry are still very much alive. It's especially prevalent in fine dining. Perhaps they should advertise:Caucasian bartenders and servers wanted only! Product knowledge and experience have nothing to do with race ethnicity.
