My favorite place on the planet - well, tied with Disneyland. A's fans are loyal, knowledgeable and the majority are nice! I had season tickets for 18 seasons in row two behind the bullpen, this year we moved two sections over and sit in the third row behind the bullpen mound (we moved bc not all A's fans are nice people - but not all people in any group anywhere are all nice, ya know? But we made a lot of life long friends and I watched kids who were four or five when I met them, grow up, go off to college, get married - it's crazy!).

Personally, I really think they should just rebuild or upgrade the Coliseum instead of this insane new stadium business - there isn't even an off ramp or places to park and I highly doubt a gondola is the answer, in fact it seems somewhat asinine, tbh.

Anyway, the Coliseum is awesome and in the last two years they've added The Treehouse - a bar with food and games, The Farm - where local kids come and grow the vegetables that are served at places around the stadium, my personal favorite - Championship Plaza which is outside of the stadium but is a place with tables, games, a movie theater sized tv so you're still like right there at the game - and best of all are the rotating food trucks!! Oakland food trucks are (at least locally) known to be the best! Any choice you make the food is to die for! Yum AF!

New seating areas have been added - including the Terrace which are tables for four people with wait staff, two free alcoholic beverages, free sodas and a delicious menu that tbh, could be a bit bigger - but the nachos are unlike any you will ever have in a ballpark setting. I used to sit in Diamond Level for my birthday every year and it is definitely awesome but the Terrace Tables in 121 might be my favorite place to catch a game in the entire place. They've added cushioned theater seats in the "Coppola" Section - there's wait staff there as well and each seat had its own little refrigerator.

And while I believe that the "A's Access" program does a pretty big disservice to those of us who have paid thousands per seat a year for decades and still do and only got a 25% discount on merchandise - I get why people like it - and there is one part that I do enjoy, I can't lie.

With A's Access you can pay like $30 monthly (or as low as $220 a season) and have access to every game - you may be stuck in The Treehouse but there are opportunities for seat upgrades daily - AND ALL FOOD INSIDE THE STADIUM AND ALL BEER, SODAS, ETC (even in the Plaza - I do like that A's Access has made it much less crowded in the Plaza and the food truck lines shorter).

I only eat at the Food Trucks or Shibe Park Tavern - the menu was redone again this year and I hope they do not change it because you must try the shrimp tacos, the chopped chicken salad and the beef salad ... all are too good to be true! You can get seats by the window and you're at the game, it's a great view! I will add a pic! - so it's not like just some restaurant) - but you can't beat a $5 premium beer! You just can't! You can't get that at ANY OTHER BALLPARK IN MLB! It's really hella sweet AF!!! ...to be continued if they will allow me to write a second review but I doubt it, so I will leave you with on more thing: The players are always exciting, the team is almost always in contention and if there is something that seems virtually impossible to be accomplished in the game - the A's have often been the ones to do it!

Great Team, Great Fans, Great Prices and a VERY MUCH updated ballpark! It'll always be my favorite place (even with Mt Davis - Eww!) in the world but I'm pretty sure you'd like it too! It's not the "dump" that many ppl claim. It's wonderful and you are guaranteed to see good baseball!!! Let's Go Oakland! #RootedInOakland! (pics below: well, I ran into Rickey in the plaza the other day .... among other things!! )
