Theater is to be treated with caution as it is usually very modern and experimental. New Year's Eve performance in the opera (as always) great. The New Year's Eve ball totally boring with various mood killer performances. Not our case. Sparkling wine and wine only by the glass (and on New Year's Eve !!!) as all drinks food (as far as available) overpriced. So go somewhere else long before midnight. Mannheim fortunately offers much more.
