Our salesman, Josh, was good to work with and patient while we test drove and looked at multiple vehicles (we were shopping for a first car for our daughter). However, once we decided on a vehicle and started the financing process we were not impressed. It took way longer than it should have to run the financing and get us into the finance manager s office to sign papers. Over an hour. Then once we were ready to complete the purchase we saw extra fees that were not relayed to us up front. A $299.00 processing fee?! They are padding their sales with the fee, I ve never encountered a fee like this just process a vehicle sale. Then a fee that was almost $400.00 for an anti-theft tracking that they put on all the vehicles on their lot. The finance manager said that they do this because they have had issues with vehicles being stolen from their lot and they pass this service on to their customers. They make it sound like it s some great benefit to have this service. NO. I m not worried about the vehicle being stolen from me and if they have theft issues at their dealership I really don t care. If I wanted an anti-theft device I would buy one on my own. They are just using this to help themselves while they have the vehicle in their possession and then pushing the cost on to the customers. Total BS in my opinion. So, what was supposed to be a cheaper first car for our daughter ended up $700 more than we expected due to their extra, hidden fees that they are not up front about. Could we have walked away from the sale, sure, but after 6 hours at the dealership plus the fact that we found the vehicle that we were looking for we felt a bit stuck. Will never buy at Corwin Honda again.
