My wife was offered this test by Carolina Partners in Raleigh, NC. She had a nervous breakdown recently and was in a weakened mental state. The provider at CP gave my wife the false hope that she could be treated more effectively with it. She was told it would keep her out of the medicine trial-and-error method and the awful side effects that come with it. She was also told the maximum she would pay would be $330 IF insurance didn't cover it; she was told insurance usually will pay.

Our insurance ultimately denied it, costing us $330. The test results were never used to treat her because she was transferred to another provider's care! When I gave her new Psychiatrist a copy of the report he called it dubious and threw it in the trash! He said it basically only listed metabolic rates for medications. Which tells you nothing of how well you will tolerate it or how much benefit you'll get.
