I grew up skiing here and have worked in the ski business for a few years. Tried to use pictures of snow conditions for a high school project about climate change and was lectured on the phone by an employee about how their snow conditions are perfect and how they take snowmaking VERY seriously . I was told I d have to have a meeting with MARKETING. For a HIGH SCHOOL PROJECT. In contrast, Holiday valley gave me a free lift ticket to document the impacts of climate change and it s a more established mountain than Bristol will ever be.
The condescending attitudes of the administrative staff rubbed me the wrong way, especially because had I given them my name and credentials they would have treated me entirely differently.
I now live in Vermont where, with my student discount, my SEASON PASS to Sugarbush is $125, whereas Bristol continues to charge over $70 for a day of skiing about 10 overgroomed trails.
It s beyond overpriced, it s literally robbery at this point.
