DINER BEWARE!!!! This is truly sad for my husband and myself.
I have been coming to Toro since they opened in 2015 , The food was subpar and boring- to add insult to injury I noticed the additional 3% for the staff and the 3% for Covid was made a line item ... as if it was food or alcohol that was consumed and as part of the subtotal...which means I am not only paying the percentage, but I m also being taxed on it , and paying additional tip on top of that percentage.... that s ridiculous!!! It seems like they are getting away with this because when I questioned it , the waiter seemed baffled and after checking with the manager offered to take it off ... I don t mind paying the extra percentage.. I do mind the fraudulent way in which they tax you on top of it and make you pay additional tip ! That s not the way you do it ! Am I the only one calling them out on this ??? - will not be returning! I question the owner s ethics!!!!
