Review of IECRM

I am currently in my last Semester if 4th year with IECRM and for the most part it was an okay experience. When I did do in person class it was in a building in Fort Collins and compared to the Denver campus it looks like the step child you want to forget about BUT I didn't have to drive to Denver for class and it worked for the most part. Communication with staff was okay and for the most part you received an answer to your question fairly quickly if you sent it via email. Sometimes the teachers weren't prepared for class or sometimes didn't know the material they were teaching (I'm looking at you Mr. First Year teacher who couldn't bend pipe properly). During my first year I was told that if I was confused still to go to YouTube and learn it myself, which I understand there is a lot to learn in such a little time but at the same time it makes me glad that this all wasn't being paid by me. I may sound like I have a small chip on my shoulder about this place but at the same time I learned a lot and used what I learned in the field. Since the pandemic it has been online only which is a bit of a bummer because the last 2 years of the school there is a bunch of hands on labs that now we are just having to do basically via MS paint. It still gets the point across but it is just not the same. During this time though I would rather it all be online because the building in Fort Collins is not big enough to have 30+ people in each class distance from each other. The lab stations were not that great or upkept anyways, I know they hired someone to come in and get them in better shape but I was unable to see the final results of that because of the Pandemic so maybe in the future that area will have better results with other students. IECRM does a good job at encouraging students to stay on top of their school work and such and they also do a fair amount to show that they appreciate their students and staff with special days and events. There is just over a semester left with this year so thanks for the knowledge and thanks for the pizza! :)
