My pregnant wife and I had high expectations for this hotel given the price they were charging. We had a lovely welcome with a drink provided on the terrace while waiting for our room to be ready.

We proceeded to check into our double room only to find that the bed was two different size single mattresses. Meaning one side was a few inches higher than the other. The hotel did change this but the second mattress was broken and the first nights sleep was like sleeping on a hill, dipping down to one side. Again the hotel changed our mattress and the second night was fine.

The room itself was a standard size with a lovely view. They have a few complimentary drinks and a well stocked mini bar but this was offset by a bed throw with stains on it, a broken TV that kept skipping, a broken TV remote which would not allow you to turn the TV off, a entrance door which would not lock and a bath which had a broken plug so would not fill up (not great when my pregnant wife wanted to relax)

We highlighted these to the manager on duty and he was very apologetic and did advise that although he could not get some of these fixed in our two night stay he would give us a discount on our room rate.

I would expect that for the price you are paying most of these should be standard. Very disappointing.
