I booked my stay with hotel tonight & my experince got frustrating pretty quick.

The good:

- The room was decent & nicely decorated. The bed was relatively comfortable.

- the location is great, but not situated in the best area. You are close to 610 and galleria mall. So if you are in houston for shopping or meetings you have access to both highway and mall. I would recommend closer to inner loop if you're in houston to have fun.

- The cleaning staff are nice to you.

The bad:

- I'm not a big fan of the overall feeling of the hotel, everything seems a bit fake & trying to show off. It's like they tried to give you an illusion of a luxury experience without it actually being luxury. From how the hotel is built to how you are treated.

- The way staff are managed is terrible. You can tell there is no effort for a profesional or friendly culture. They just hire people and let them to work there with no training. I will explain more.

- The Valet service was rude. They were rude to me when I came to check in. They were rude to my mentor when he came to drop me at night & made a whole scene because he wanted to get off and walk with me to the lobby as we were still talking. It was late at night. There were many ways for them to ask him for his keys other than being rude.

- I called the front desk more than 10 times in the morning to ask for an iron since I had a meeting and needed to iron my shirt, they only picked up once (the second time I called), told me they'll send an iron, didn't answer my calls after. An hour later I packed my stuff and checked out early to go to a friend's house.

- when I talked to the front desk, the manager told me to call hotel tonight and so they can offer a refund. After I contacted hotel tonight about it, they called the hotel and the manager denied it saying there was no record of my complain. This wasn't about the money I paid to stay there, this was about their lack of decipline and following principals.

- if you chose to self park, it's something like 25-30 dollars and you have to walk a bit to the hotel from the garage.

Let's say there are better hotels I've stayed in that area & I will not be staying at this hotel again. Neither I would recommend it. They cause too much unecessary headache.
