A must visit in Tokyo! It is a bit of a jaunt to get there, but absolutely worth it. Plan to spend a couple hours here, definitely not something you want to rush. Try to get there right at the opening. We came on New Years Day a few minutes after 10am when they opened and for the most part were able to walk right in. When we left around 12:30pm, there was a much longer wait (line went outside) and the museum was certainly busier on the inside. Ticket price is well worth it!
