Last year in May, 2017, I leased the clarity Hydrogen vehicle. The leasing process was faultless. Our sales/leasing agent, Shane Wu was very detailed and helpful. I can not say anything negative about him. What I have an issue is the how Honda itself handled the incentive programs. With the lease, I received a credit card to pay for the fuel. It was a little difficult at first since, Honda only issued a credit card with $1,500 worth of credit. I had to ask Shane about when the new debit card will come as I was running low on the credit on the card after 4 months. It took Honda a few weeks to respond to Shane. Not good practice.
I recently heard that Shane does not work at Honda of Serramonte any longer. What a loss for the company.
I did call the new sales agent that sells and leases the Clarity but he never returned my call and he lied to me. I will not mention his name but he is the sales person for the Clarity Hydrogen vehicle. I would say, his name starts with a "F"
The second issue was the Avis, free 21 day car rental. I am still trying to find out how I am suppose to rent a full size car at Avis. I call the toll free number given to me and they say, they do not offer car rental service. I called Honda of Serramonte and I left a few messages but no one called me back. Now, customer service is not suppose to be like this.
My daughter plans to purchase or lease a Honda soon but I will convince her NOT to go to Honda of Serramonte. In fact, I would recommend she purchase/lease another vehicle.
A simple return call is all a customer ask. Is it that hard to call a customer back?
Customer service is so important and if my concerns are not important, perhaps, my business is not important as well.
I hope the General manager sees this review.
He can easily find me since there were maybe 120 hydrogen vehicles leased , well , I hope he will call me back soon.
