This is not a good hotel. We stayed one night over...

This is not a good hotel. We stayed one night over the bank holiday weekend and it seemed to be just one thing after the other. We arrived fairly early at reception to be told that we could check in any time after 2pm, came back around that time and was told we'd have to wait longer but that they couldn't be more specific. A woman then came running down to reception to notify that she had been given the wrong room and had walked in on something she definitely shouldn't have seen, to which the receptionist's response was to laugh! We couldn't believe it. The hallways and rooms are very dated, tired and dreary. The pool area isn't bad although there definitely aren't enough chairs. There was no shampoo or conditioner in the room, the hairdryer stopped working, and when asked to bring up spares the staff were pretty rude and unapologetic. Went down to breakfast and there were no staff around at all, with many tables free but none had been cleared for us to sit at, so I took a bowl up to the room. The food was edible. When checking out, the couple before us asked if there were any rooms available that night, to which the receptionist's response was pretty rude and dismissive, and definitely not professional. The only good thing about this hotel was the bed, which was really comfy. Other than that, a dire experience. Luckily we had been given a voucher for this stay, if we had paid for it I would have been fuming.
