Great family-friendly resort. Also has an adult-only pool and in-pool bar, in addition to the water slides, water, elevator, and lazy river slides & pools. The beach is well maintained and has lava/coral outcroppings at both ends making it nice for setting fish and turtles while snorkeling. Located outside the primary tourist areas, so you'll need a ride for most off-resort dinning and shopping. However, the Grand Wailea, the neighboring resort, and small shopping center next door offer a decent variety so you can stay close if you prefer. The excursions we took from the Grand Wailea were well organized, provided nice equipment, had friendly employees, and picked you up right at the resort. The rooms were well kept and had a modern, art deco-ish style yet tastefully beachy feel. It was well done and worked. Overall a fantastic place for resort vacationing or events.
