I have lived at the Marabella apartments on Las Colinas, Texas for 3 months and while the apartment itself is nice the management is terrible. They have "free" cable that will cost you $45/month even if you don't want it because it is a mandatory fee included in your utilities - even if it's not hooked up yet you get charged! My biggest complaint by far is the gate. I work for the federal government and travel for work, with this in mind I chose Marabella because it is "gated." Well the gate has not worked for over a month (this is the second time) and management will make all the excuses in the world about it but will not step up and fix it. Their favorite excuse is that it says in our lease that the gate "doesn't have to be operational." And this is true - but over a month is absolutely ridiculous. This is a business. They do not take care of their responsibilities and they do not take care of their property or residents. They do not have respect for their residents' safety or for their residents' property which we pay for them to take care of and we trust them with. Also, when I submitted a noise complaint they told me and I quote "what do you expect us to do about it?" They told me I, a young woman who lives on my own, would need to go down to where the loud drunk men were at 1 am and ask them to be quiet and also get their names and unit #'s before they would help me. Today I asked about the gate again and got the same excuses - no accountability. I also asked for a phone number of someone higher up that could help me and was told that there was no one else. Well I'm posting this review hoping it will at least help others and I'm also hoping the Connor Group, who owns this property, will help me.
