We hired Hivex to install a large family room and bathroom in our unfinished basement, along with a pantry, closet, and new exterior door. Overall, we are thrilled with this company and would hire them again! We really appreciated the thoroughness of their work and that they worked with us to keep our tight budget on track. During the initial quote/paperwork process, the owner, Dan, provided several suggestions of items to cut to keep us on budget that we were happy to do ourselves (contrast this with another company that provided us a quote, who constantly tried to upsell and add-on work). And they didn't nickel-and-dime us, which took a lot of stress out of the project and really earned our trust.

The project was completed on time and fairly smoothly. There were a few minor issues, things that held up the project a bit, normal stuff that you'd expect with any construction job of this scale - but Bob, our project manager, resolved them to our satisfaction, and was thorough about wrapping up several lingering details of our project. We would definitely recommend Hivex and appreciate their job well done for our beautiful new basement!
