As others have mentioned, a year or so ago the Toronto Star published an expose of their self-serving lies, e.g. embalming a body will protect your family against disease, they don't/can't sell cardboard coffins, that various expensive additions are required by law, etc. Have they changed much in one year? If you want to chance it, record the conversation, tell them "we'll get back to you", and check out at least a couple other funeral providers, especially the small guys. A simple cremation, for example, should cost about $2,000. Arbor operates under different names depending on where you live, like Sands Memorial in Vancouver, so do a little research beforehand.
