My experience is different than many below. I researched this test and requested that my doctor order for me. The results guided my doctor to the medications that I was genetically more likely to tolerate and do better. I am feeling better after medication switch.
I called Customer Service to find out the cost to me based on my insurance and household income. I chose to proceed. I did receive an EOB from insurance that showed the cost but that is not what the insurance reimburses Assurex nor what I am responsible. I received a bill from Assurex 2 months after my test was completed for the exact amount quoted. I'll happily pay for this test as it has helped my doctor find the right medication for me. No more trial and error.
For those with billing issues, I'd recommend calling Customer Service to discuss options.
