I recently renovated my kitchen and purchased all of my new appliances from Kieffer's Appliances. The sales person I dealt with, Agata Widuch, was wonderful to deal with. The appliances were delivered and then installed approximately a week later. I immediately noticed the refrigerator was not very good at all. It moved, it was loud, it had a dent in it, the bottom panel seemed off and the doors opened into my new cabinets. The contractors working on my kitchen added pieces of wood under the back wheels to keep it from moving. When I heard the very loud noises, I pulled the refrigerator away from the wall and noticed the wood pieces. I asked about it and we investigated with GE that apparently this is how they make side-by-side refrigerators -- the wheels do not lock. I called the appliance store and my sales representative is now on maternity leave. I spoke with John Kieffer who said he would come out and take a look. He came one morning and told me that added the wood to the back wheels was the only thing he could do. He would order me a new door for my dent through GE, but basically I was out of luck on all of the other complaints because the items was used and they do not return or exchange refrigerators. He told me he would follow up once the door was shipped to have someone come out and install the new door. The door was shipped to my house and I received no call. It has now been sitting in my garage for two weeks now. I called on Monday, April 25th and left a message and have not received a call back. I told the representative, Chris, on the line that I was still very unhappy with the product and that I would really like to exchange it. The product is even louder with the piece of wood under the wheels and I can't imagine why this would be. He told me he would have John call me, but no response. I spent over $8000 at their store and I am asking to have better customer service regarding one appliance and it has been lousey. John basically told me I was out of luck on my refrigerator. I find this to be completely unacceptable and do not want any other consumer to have to go through this.
