Our front load washer (model WFW8620HC) has stopped working just after 6 months. The front touch panel is not longer responding. We called Whirlpool and they promptly sent a technician to look at it. He confirmed the it need to be replaced yet the part is not available. We called Whirlpool back multiple times to follow up on the status of the part. We were told by multiple employees that they have not located the part yet and we need to wait 7 business days to escalate the matter if the part is still not found. Day 7 we call, the part is still not located and now they are telling us to wait a few more days. We are now day 11 without a washer and we are a family of 5. We were told by multiple employees we could get a replacement washer from our store (Whirlpool and our store have an exchange program) but we needed to wait 7 business days but now we re getting the run around. The machine is 6 months old. 5 people in a household with no means to clean the clothes. No working washer. No part in sight. Run around from Whirlpool. The way they have handled the situation is unacceptable and I would not purchase their product in the future.
