DON T GIVE A-1 HEATING AND COOLING YOUR BUSINESS
Groupon had an offer for $51 air conditioner maintenance from A-1 Heating and Cooling. The tech looked at the A/C unit and said it was fine. (He didn t even turn on the unit) I asked if he was going to do anything and he said that as long as it was not leaking, there was nothing to do. He did apply some tape to an exposed wire and left.
A week later, when we turned on the unit for the first time this year, the fan was not turning. At 7:30am, I called A-1 Heating and Cooling and left a message explaining the situation. I mentioned that I would like some kind of discount on labor, but would be willing to pay for all parts. No one called me back so I called again at 8:45am. The lady on the phone said that Melissa was not in yet and would call me back. It was early afternoon and still no call, so I decided to take $51 loss and give my business to a competitor.
The new company arrived within hours and said the capacitor was bad and replaced. I asked their tech what is done for a normal PM and he listed 8-10 things that should have been checked the capacitor being one of those things.
I am so disappointed in A-1 Heating and Cooling. I am not sure if the tech s less than professional attitude was because of the Groupon price or if this is how they do business. This company took advantage of my time and money. It has been over 24hours and still no call from A-1 Heating and Cooling.
