Boats to and from the island can take a while to get onto due to crowds etc, food and souvenirs on Liberty Island are quite expensive - but then again unless you bring it you can buy it anywhere else.

Would possibly recommend bringing an umbrella for protection from the sun has there is only a few covered areas.

There currently is construction on a new museum which will give you something else to do as at this stage there is very little other the Lady Liberty
