The good
- conservation and education opportunities and every turn
- something for every age
- the comfort and safety of the animals comes first
- an oasis close to downtown
- holiday lights are spectacular
- lots of green space.
- you can bring in your own picnic
- exhibits are well planned and well spaced.
- excellent volunteer program.

The bad
- parking can be a challenge during peak times
- plan the trip carefully. Your trip will be impacted by Seattle traffic
- some enclosures show their age but there is constant positive intent to update and to modernize.
