I met a friend for lunch at Dobbin House Tavern today. There was ample parking at the side and back of the building. We ate outside, under the big tent. It was warm but very pleasant with the tent to shade us from the sun. We had good service - attentive without being intrusive. We each ordered the bowl of baked french onion soup. It was really good! There was a thick layer of beautifully toasted mixed cheeses on top, a slice of bread under the cheese, and a bowl of flavorful broth with both onions AND pieces of beef steak! Very tasty, filling, and comforting! I look forward to being in the Gettysburg area again soon!
